The Autumn season has kicked off successfully for burmatex, with a contract to supply carpet to Pride Park Stadium, the home of Derby County Football Club.

Derby County has chosen two burmatex products, supplied through AJ Floorcraft, to grace the floors of one of its key function rooms and the public circulation areas that form part of one of the most prestigious corporate hospitality venues in the Midlands.

Groove is a contemporary, high performance, textured loop pile carpet tile, ideally suited to all types of interior space. It has been installed in the Woodrush shade throughout the Dave Mackay Lounge, surrounding circulation corridors and two public entrances. To strengthen the club’s corporate branding, burmatex has also water-jet cut the famous Derby County “Ram” logo onto a number of the carpet tiles and incorporated them into the installation.

The Dave Mackay Lounge is a 180-person capacity room open for conferences, dinner dances, weddings and corporate functions five days per week, so good presentation is key to its continued popularity as a hospitality venue. With this in mind, burmatex’s tufted entrance matting product Barrier, in the shades of Purple Haze and Dawn Mist, was selected and positioned at the two main entrances to extend the lifespan and protect the appearance of the interior carpet.
