red carpet treatment for enterprising student

Leading contract carpet manufacturer, burmatex, has helped turn the designs of a talented textile student into a reality as part of an Enterprise Day organised by business and education partnership provider, Compact Education Business Services (CEBS).

Pupils at Ossett School, near Wakefield, were given a tour of burmatex’s manufacturing facility to gain an insight into the production process and had the opportunity to spend time in the company’s state-of-the-art design facility.

The design team was so impressed with Bethany’s eye-catching design that the company agreed to manufacture the rug and install it in the school’s Technology department.

Gillian Mullany, Director of Technology at Ossett School said: “This project has been a fantastic success.
