burmatex appoint agency for corporate re-branding
burmatex, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of contract carpets and carpet tiles, has appointed creative agency, The Chase, to design and implement its new corporate identity.
The Chase, based in Manchester, has been tasked with creating a new corporate image which will portray the long-established and successful company, in a contemporary way.
Claire Hessey, Marketing Manager of burmatex, said, “We initially considered a number of agencies for the re-branding of burmatex, but The Chase displayed the best understanding of our specific requirements. They also displayed a creative flair which we really liked.
“I am sure that when burmatex’s new image is revealed later this year, it will be a hit with customers, old and new.”
Lionel Hatch, Co-founder of The Chase, added, “We are very excited to be working with a company which is ripe for a change in its branding. It is also refreshing to work with a company which is completely on-board with the concept of change, and open to new ideas. burmatex has welcomed a lot of new blood recently and that is reflected in the company’s open and forward thinking attitude.
“One of our greatest challenges with burmatex is to embrace the qualities that have made it successful, such as family values and friendliness, whilst still illustrating that the company is moving on to a new and exciting era.”
The Chase was established almost 20 years ago and now has a team of 43 people, and a turnover of £5 million. With the bulk of its work focussing on corporate identity work, its client list includes The Co-Operative Bank and The Woodland Trust.
The Chase has been recognised as the second most creative design agency in the country in a national poll of its peers and has been included in the British Design and Art Direction Award (DNAD) every year since it was founded.
