award winning Manchester Town Hall refit features Burmatex® carpet tiles

Burmatex® carpet tiles have been able to ideally address the unique requirements of the award winning renovation at Manchester Town Hall.
Conducted by Ian Simpson Architects, the renovation of Manchester Town Hall received the regional award for Refurbished or Recycled Workplaces, 2014, from the British Council for Offices (BCO). This challenging renovation balances the development of the grade 2 listed building against modern workplace functionality and environmental standards, while preserving the historic Victorian architecture and unique nature of the hall.
Throughout the open plan workspace generous installations of Burmatex® carpet tiles create a durable and striking finish in Green Guide A and A+ environmentally rated quality.
Using the Burmatex® strands range, a defined walkway in the cheerful colour of strands ten orange runs the length of each floor. Against a solid balance charcoal background, staggered inserts of strands sixty orange and night extend from the central pathway in broken lines, creating an interesting, contemporary scheme within the walkway without compromising its purpose.
The spacious council building continues to use the striking, offset linear strands range throughout the refurbishment, with bright installations of strands ten orange creating vibrant spaces.
Achieving a Green Guide Excellent Rating, the Manchester Town Hall renovation offers modern facilities within a stunning Victorian façade with Burmatex® installations that expertly connect functionality with design.
