Whilst we are all living in lockdown, disconnected from the outside world, we wanted to explore ways to bring the outside in with one of the biggest interior trends of recent years – biophilic design. Biophilic design is achieved when nature is incorporated into an interior space, helping people feel connected to the natural environment. It helps in creating a calm, tranquil space to enhance productivity and reduce stress levels. COLOUR AND TEXTURE
Schemes can be inspired by the outdoors through replicating the patterns, textures and colours. Our alaska carpet tiles perfectly relate to the invigorating outdoors due to its tactile and textural finish. The above schemes demonstrate how alaska can be used in such simple ways to create sophisticated, fresh and earthy looks.

ZONING
The above installation in Leeds is the perfect example of how well our products work alongside one another. It uses a combination of osaka, rainfall, alaska, tivoli and tivoli multiline. We love how the design layout has helped to create zones to break up the space. Bringing nature into your everyday life and having time away from the buzz of central areas of activity can create feelings of calm and relaxation. Incorporating ‘zones’ intended to separate you away from the noise and movement of the open place office can similarly have an effect to reduce stress and increase motivation.
