European Centre for Music chooses 4200 sidewalk
burmatex®’s dedicated understanding of product requirements in exceptional build circumstances has enabled the recent extension of our international profile, through the installation Green Guide A and A+ environmentally rated burmatex® carpet at the European Krzysztof Penderecki Centre for Music in Poland.
A greatly anticipated, ground-breaking establishment, the European Centre for Music intends to attract young musical talent from across the globe. burmatex®’s 4200 sidewalk carpet range has been used throughout the artistic and educational build, which comprises concert halls, libraries and student accommodation.
This fibre bonded sheet product presents a minimalistic fine-ribbed design which is suitable for use in heavy contract situations, enabling burmatex® 4200 sidewalk to continuously present a sturdy, blank canvas for the many young minds seeking inspiration. Additionally the total installation of 2,500 square metres of burmatex® carpet across a variety of rooms has created a consistent, gentle flow and crisp simplicity within this extremely modern building.
Various flooring options throughout the centre differently impact on the created sounds and the acoustic properties of burmatex® carpets and carpet tiles were an important consideration in their selection for this prestigious project. The use of burmatex® carpet within accommodation and dressing rooms creates a side of the build which allows the space for calm and peaceful reflection.
As well as distinguishing hushed areas within the centre, the use of burmatex® 4200 sidewalk in neutral shades of grey continues to provide the centre with a quiet, introspective atmosphere. This scheme reflects the environment presented by the centre’s poignant location away from main Polish thoroughfares and utilises the open and minimalistic build to target the buildings focus toward its music.
