Japanese culture influences osaka carpet tiles

osaka inkpot & orchid carpet tiles

osaka is a new addition to our multilevel loop pile collection, launched summer 2018. The carpet tile product range is influenced by Japanese culture clashes: new and old, warm and cool, urban and natural. osaka is a collection of contrasts that work seamlessly together like in Japanese urban areas.

The design’s pattern (originally from a map of Osaka) can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. You can notice geometric outline inspired by the traditional practise of origami along with organic shapes and reminiscent of a bamboo forest floor. The abstract nature of the design, teamed with a diverse colour palette, allows it to be both soft and strong, expertly working with any modern interior space.

The range features twelve colours, all tufted using 100% solution dyed nylon 6.6 from Universal Fibers. The yarn features built in stain resistance and 20% recycled pre-consumer content.  osaka has a pile weight of 795g and is rated Class 33, for heavy commercial use.
