AROUND US | ACCIDENTAL ART

Accidental art describes the abstract beauty of normal, mundane, or everyday items and places.

'Have nothing in your life that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful'

William Morris, is credited with the original 'have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful' quote. Times have altered since then, technology and travel provide constant access to the world around us. Inspiration from all sources; colour groups, texture and scale.. From peeling paint to a specific architectural view, these sources are infinite.

We lose ourselves in these Instagram accounts, amongst others. It is fascinating to see what inspires other people; where they find interest and beauty. Here is a small selection of some of the visuals which have been shared.
