CARPET PLANK PERCENTAGES
A question we frequently get asked is ‘what percentages of different products have been used in this installation?’ This is a difficult question to answer, as more often than not, installations contain different variations of percentage splits in different areas of the installation. Not all designs are one even pattern all over. So to give some ideas on what different percentage splits may look like, we have installed and photographed a few different examples in the same area for a fair comparison.
This is not to say that making use of different percentages of products is a new thing. However, for the burmatex customer, the introduction of carpet planks (25x100cm) in December 2015 created the opportunity to develop a whole new portfolio of looks. These can be achieved by simply changing the percentage of each colour used, or changing the installation method. For this post we will be focusing on changing the percentages but will keep the installation method as half drop, again for a fair comparison.
