A design inspired by the artistry of weaving and handmade textiles, surface trace® brings timeless craftsmanship to modern, high-performance carpet tiles. 

At 800g, it’s crafted with Universal Fibers’ groundbreaking carbon-negative Thrive® matter yarn. 

Paired with our BioBase® recycled backing, surface trace® is another carbon-neutral option within the Burmatex portfolio. 

Our first random lay carpet tile 

Alongside being a random pattern, surface trace® is also random lay. 

Allowing for unique, dynamic layouts, adding texture, depth, and layered visual interest to interior spaces.

A curated colour palette
Twelve elevated neutrals, combined with our new opulent chunky texture, create calm, luxurious, and visually rich spaces. With a variety of cools and warms, tones of blue and peach; the palette is a considered selection of timeless and trend-proof colours. 

Working with commercial furniture 

The colour, texture, and pattern of surface trace® complement contemporary commercial interior furnishings. We were lucky enough to have two opportunities for in house photography at UK furniture manufacturers; Gresham Office Furniture and Orangebox. 

Taken in atmospheric showroom lighting, these images highlight the different textures and tones within the surface trace® design, as well as how well the product compliments commercial furniture.
