GRADE PRODUCT LAUNCH

A new addition to the burmatex tufted range is grade, available in 50cm x 50cm tile/25cm x 100cm plank format and tufted in 100% solution dyed nylon.

I wanted to create a product that was, visually, in between our more solid looking products and our stronger designs. grade fulfils this, providing nine colours in two module sizes, giving great flexibility and longevity, whether using a single selection or creating bespoke combinations.

The name grade links to the graduation between lighter and darker tones within each colour option, creating a soft ‘almost-plain’ effect. Think of a shadow on a colour – it doesn’t change it fundamentally; rather, it creates sections of strength or darkness.

Installation can be as simple or complex as a customer likes – the overall not-quite-plain appearance is perfect for those who want to fill a large floor space quickly with a product that will not show any tracking and will complement any placement of furniture. More complex options could diffuse from one colour to another, or create dramatic contrasting blocks.

Rich indigo, timeless denim and powerful ruby are amongst this researched and considered palette and are complimented by the options of warm or cool greys. From a design perspective, the challenge of creating endless possibilities from a compact palette is something to embrace!
