MEETING ROOM INSPIRATION
In office spaces there are often three types of meeting rooms: boardrooms, general meeting rooms and open-plan meeting spaces. A boardroom is a great place to create drama with a spectacular design…after all it is usually the largest meeting room and the location of important decision making. However, just as important are the (usually smaller) general meeting rooms. A great way to incorporate the main office floor design into a small meeting room is to introduce some of the colour or pattern from the main floor. By dropping a few coloured tiles into the small space, the overall flow of the office interior is improved and the rooms can be tied together. This look is particularly successful in meeting rooms where the walls and doors are glass, so the floor can be seen from the main office space or corridor.
Most relaxed of all meeting spaces, and possibly the most creative, are the open-plan communal seating areas. These areas are great for an office catch-up or informal team meeting, so usually incorporate some sort of comfy upholstered furniture mixed with coffee tables or cube seating. These spaces provide a great opportunity to tie in the colours of the office interior scheme by co-ordinating the furniture fabric colour and the carpet tile colour which helps with the overall branding of the office.
