PANTONE COLOUR OF THE YEAR | 2021

For 2021 Pantone have forecasted Ultimate Gray and Illuminating as their colours of the year.

Ultimate Gray is a cool and calm mid grey while Illuminating is a bright yet muted yellow. Pantone describe the pairing as:

"Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic".

"It is a story of colour that encapsulates deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly".

At burmatex, we are always looking to trends to help us with the colouration of new ranges, the refreshing of existing ranges or to inspire us on how to mix and match products in design schemes. In the two mood-boards below we have explored how Ultimate Gray and Illuminating could be used; in either a warm or cool fashion. Warm feels very on trend and cozy, where cool gives a more classic and brutalist appearance.
