A few weeks ago the Hepworth in Wakefield held a print fair. As the Gallery is on our doorstep, we decided to visit for some inspiration.

Christopher Wood Kimono, 2016

Part of an ongoing series of kimonos by artist Anthea Hamilton, this design was inspired by a 1927 portrait of Christopher Wood. The individual triangles are hand cut and dyed giving the piece a warped and organic appearance.
