Burmatex^® wins CFJ/CFA 2020 Flooring Industry Awards

We are delighted to have been involved with the successful Heriot-Watt University project, which recently won the above category in the CFJ/CFA 2020 Flooring Industry Awards.

The awards were announced under unique circumstances this year. Postponed from the intended June 2020 date, the awards were actually given via video on 11^th September and hosted by snooker player John Parrott.

Named GRID, this facility was designed by Sheppard Robson, Glasgow. GRID enables advances in global research, innovation and discovery, by the promotion of collaborating on inter and intra departmental bases as well as with industry partners.

The building is situated in a beautiful Lochside setting and all finishes are sympathetic to this, from both visual and sustainability points of view. Carpet tiles from our tivoli, go to, alaska and osaka ranges were used throughout the space to complement and enhance the interior in a practical and visual manner.

GRID is also achieved Commended in the Scottish Design Awards, and was shortlisted for a RIAS award.
