HOW TO USE CONTRAST | CARPET PLANK AND TILE

At Burmatex we offer two dimensions of carpet; plank and tile. A 50 x 50cm tile is traditionally what we have made and a few years ago we introduced a 25 x 100cm plank shape to some of our collections. These two different sizes of carpet can be used on their own like in the examples below

They can also be mixed together to create interesting and striking installations, as shown in the images below. Using carpet tile and carpet plank together is inherently working with contrast, in a positive way. The clashing of the two different shapes makes for a unique floor installation and can create a pop that you couldn’t achieve in any other way.
